Obtained by steam distillation of the plant. With a strong, penetrating and minty smell, first hot and then cool. It is a colorless or yellowish liquid with a characteristic odor and taste. Its main component is Menthol. Refreshes in the heat and warms in the cold, ideal for colds, where it reduces mucus and nasal congestion. In aromatherapy, it is indicated as an excellent anesthetic, analgesic and refreshing, much appreciated in the treatment of headaches and irritable bowel syndrome.
