Chlorella (( Chlorella vulgaris ), also known as "chlorella" is a single-celled green algae that grows in fresh water and has several health-promoting properties.
This seaweed is an excellent source of vegetable protein, fiber, B vitamins, namely vitamin B12, vitamin C, E, nucleic acids (DNA and RNA) and carotenoids, including lutein and ß-carotene. It also contains an important variety of minerals such as iron, vitamin C and B12 and omega-3 fatty acids. Compared to other algae, it has higher levels of chlorophyll, so it may have additional benefits in terms of liver detoxification.
